13 Weeks to 13.1
Train with certified running coach and ultra-marathoner Donna Pittman. The Clarksville YMCA will offer a training group for runners, walkers, and run/walkers who wish to train for the Go Commando Half Marathon. The group is open to both beginners and experienced half marathoners who wish to improve their finish times. (Should be in good health and able to run or walk 3 miles prior to training.)
$75 for YMCA members, $100 for nonmembers
Includes a certified running coach, a training plan, organized group runs on Saturday mornings, and three informational seminars on topics such as stretching, hill training, speed work, pacing, strength training, nutrition for athletes, writing a race plan, running safety and more.
First Training SEMINAR
Tuesday, July 8 at 6:30pm
Clarksville Area YMCA (260 Hillcrest Drive)
First training seminar will be in the Oasis Room at 6:30pm. Receive a training plan, running seminar on pacing, hydration, stretching, strength training, and runners’ safety.
First Long Run (or walk)
Saturday, July 12 at 7:00am
